Window Waterproofing Again
The waterprrofing fluid that I ordered on November 16th has been delivered and today was bright, sunny and, more importantly, dry, so I have treated the exterior of one of the bathroom windows. As directed by the manufacturer I treated the cill piece, part way up the sides, and 300mm of the surrounding stonework :
We now need to wait for bad weather to see if it is effective.

Hi Paul
No, I am afraid it didn't really make any difference. We are a bit stumped about what the root cause of this issue is. We are now thinking condensation as we have seen damp inside when it hasn't rained outside, but it still makes no sense as the points where the damp collects are always the same, and not all over.
It remains, for now, a mystery.
