Tile Hang
Tile hanging on the front dormers is complete. Here is how it looks :
This blog will hopefully document my experience of building an extension on the side of my house. It's purpose is probably two fold - firstly to allow me to keep a diary of events should the whole thing go pear shaped, and secondly so my friends and family can keep up to date with progress, without me having to mail them.

Don't know which side of the family we are with, but we feel the tile hanging on the dormers is preferable. Stone may have looked too heavy! J&B Essex. Cheers.
Dunno on this one.....it does look a bit "heavy" but what are the options? I agree with you about rendering; have you looked at other Coldwold houese? What do they do?
BTW, I'm just about to pay GdF....are you still coming?????
Sue did email Jan, but has had no response.

Thanks for the votes on the tile hanging. I was hoping by now that the scaffolding would have been taken down, and we would have been able to see it all much better. Alas they did not turn up and it is still there.
A lot of houses round about do have rendering, and I think the tile hanging is much preferable. A lot also have stone (like we do on the single original back dormer), but that just seems to be the older houses.
Cheers,
Steve
