Checklist Update, Day 3

Not much free time today, but during the evening, managed to do half of the remaining door lining. This is the one leading into the vestibule from the corridor at the top of the stairs. It is more awkward than the others because it is a gap in the concrete block wall, rather than in the stud work.

What makes it more difficult is that one side of the opening is very uneven, making the fixings very tricky. I have done the easy side, but the hard side will wait for tomorrow.

The plasterer called to confirm a start date of Wednesday. There is still a fair bit to do, but I will take some time off work tomorrow, and Dad is coming to help me once again. It should be no problem ! You will have noticed that, once again, I am operating the JIT philosophy - Just in Time. However, this is supposed to apply to logistics and delivery to cut down on warehousing costs, not DIY projects. It is, in fact, just a cover story for extremely poor time estimating skills !
