Tower
Spent yesterday moving the chimney rubble from previous work, and erecting the on-loan scaffold tower. There are no adjustable feet, so it took me a while to position the first parts of it. One leg sits on a solid base, one stands on a pile of rubble and the other two are in holes with big stones at the bottom.
I was advised to make the entire structure lean into the house, so this is what I have done. It got a bit awkward at the top, where I met the overhang of the roofline, but I have just about squeezed it in, with the exception of one of the top guard rails, which will have to be tied at one end as I can't quite make it meet. I have also greased all the joints which will hopefully make it easier to get apart again.
The tower could do with being a foot taller, but I think I can probably manage. However, unfortunatley today it was too wet to get out there and use it.
Maybe tomorrow.....
