Nearly done

There was rain yesterday, so it was as much as I could do to get the scaffold tower erected on the other side of the chimney. Anyway, here was my start point this morning :

If you look carefully you can just about see another louvre door, again rescued from a skip, which I lashed across the roof to stop any tumbling debris from crashing through the conservatory roof. Again the tower is deliberately leaning into the building.
It didn't take very long to undermine the very top part, as you can see from the next picture :

Unfortunately, the very top stones were a bit too high to reach and I only managed to work them loose as a large block. In the end, I put a rope around them which Jan pulled on, while I leavered away with a crowbar. Jan's role was really to dictate which way they fell, rather than to exert any real effort. It worked a treat, though it did take two goes to clear the whole lot.
After that, I inherited a couple of helpers :

Before long I reduced it too a large pile of rubble :

Should be plain sailing now. I had hoped to finish the job today, but a spot of dinner and Top Gear were calling me. The neighbours deserve a rest from my hammer drill anyway !
