More Construction Pictures

We investigated having this staircase factory made, as we did the other one. However, as this is intended to be more of a feature, and the cost wasn't hugely different, in the end we decided that we would prefer to employ a local craftsman to make us something bespoke. As you can see from the views of the workshop, it is not exactly hand-crafted, as he is using machinery such as a 4-sided planer. However, the housings for each step are cut by hand with a router using a jig, so it is half way there.

Today there was a dry-run to check the alignment of the winders.
