Dispute about Floor Completion

When it came to pay the balance for the floor installation, I held back a sum to ensure they would return to fix the 5 or 6 planks up to the front door, after we have had it replaced. This caused a bit of a stir. They claimed that the original quote did not include this work as we had discussed this slight difficulty when they first came. They insisted I paid the difference.

I double checked the quotation, and there was no wording that could possibly indicate they were not quoting for the whole job, so I have stuck to my guns. There has been an eMail exchange (two in each direction) and now all has gone quiet.
