Builders Cake
Every Friday one of the builders brings a massive cake into work, that his wife has made for the crew. Invariably the three of them can't get through it and, as it would be unacceptable for him to do anything other than take home an empty plate, it turns to me to help in it's consumption. Lemon sponge cake this week - very nice. Only half was gone by the time they left on Friday (despite my help) so the children and I have polished off the rest over the weekend, despite being away in Southampton for most of it.
It's a bit of role reversal from the usual supply of tea and biscuits that goes the other way !
A couple of pictures showing the progress on the ground floor stonework :
We had another delivery of stone from the quarry on Friday, so they now have many more jigsaw pieces to choose from !

Hi Pip.
Last weeks cake came a day early, on Thursday as it was the boss's birthday. However, the rain came and they downed-tools and left, taking the cake with them ! I didn't even see it !
Steve.
