Nearly Ready for Plastering

The small dining room is empty, ready for plastering, with the electrics taped up and all the light fittings removed and repklaced with simple batten holders.

The fireplace will be sheeted with plastic to keep it clean from plaster splatter and the floor covered in dustsheets.

I had to insert a small piece of plasterboard into the window header, as the existing plaster was really loose and not properly bonded to the timber lintel :

The new socket is in place.  The radiator pipe has been capped off, but will be turned through 180 degrees once the plastering is done, and directed down below floor across to a new radiator on the other side of the room.  I considered removing the skirting and burying these pipes in the wall, but decided against it.  If I paint the pipes to match the skirting they will be barely visible, but at least obviously there, whereas if they are buried in the wall they are at risk of being drilled by someone who doesn't know they are there.  Plus, it will be easier !
