Other Tasks Completed Recently....
Not as many as I would like, but better than nothing :
- Fitted oak threshold in front of the double doors from the new sitting room out onto the deck.
- Hung the airing cupboard door.
- Pulled through more telephone and ethernet cables to the cupboard that will eventually be the "nerve centre" of the house
- Pulled RF co-ax cables up through a pre-fitted pipe in Victoria's stud wall, to the loft space. (Yes, I was allowed back into the loft !)
- Fitted pattress boxes in the old lounge for the telephone, ethernet and TV sockets.
- Second fix telephone, Ethernet and TV in the new lounge.
- Fitted bathroom wall-lights.
- Swapped a switch in our bedroom so that the 4 wall lights are on two switched pairs, rather than all on the same switch. This is the plus side of the wiring scheme being used, where all wires and connections are made at the switch, rather then the light fitting.
In addition, the electrician has paid us three visits (and is due again tomorrow), so first fix is very nearly finished, and second fix is complete in the two big rooms, though the basement sockets are still not live, and the new sitting room sockets are powered via an extension lead !
