Post 100
Well this is it - my 100th post to this blog. Unfortunately, despite the delay, it is not really worth the wait as not very much has happened.
Groundworks are now basically finished, as is evident from receipt of the final invoice. Since my last writings the drains have been put in to pick up the gutter downpipes from when the build is finished (and an extra one to take run-off from the driveway) and a sewer pipe connected in to pick up from the proposed en-suite bathroom. The backfill up against the retaining walls is complete too, as you can see from the following picture :
We are now in a "lull" period, where the groundworks are complete (apart from the small matter of a 7 ton digger that has lain dormant in our garden for 10 days), and the builder is not quite ready to start. However, the children have been putting the (rather scarce) piece of new level ground to good use :
It also made a good squash court, though we used tennis balls and raquets !
Thanks for sticking with me through 100 posts. Hopefully there will be more to come soon !
