Chasing Response to Email

My final retrospective post (today is really November 6th, but the events described below happened on the 2nd !).

I have had no response whatsoever to my eMail sent last Thursday. No read receipt, no acknowledgement (despite requesting one) and certainly no detailed response to my queries.

Phoned the structural engineer and he confirmed he had received my mail, but had been having trouble getting hold of the representative from the piling company. In his view the answers all need to come from them. I am not convinced by this, but could not get hold of them myself to confirm one way or the other. One thing that is definately the structural engineer's responsibility is getting copies of the load calculations to me. As mentioned in these pages more than once, I have repeatedly requested these, but still no sign.

As for the local authority approval, he wants to wait until the design is finalised before approaching them. I am no further forward really.
